The Sword family have been in the bakery trade for many generations, but in 1894 William Sword founded his very own business which was focused on supplying the local communities in and around Airdrie. Now based in Cumbernauld since 1969, the fourth generation of the Sword family still follow the very simple philosophy laid out years ago by their ancestors. We believe in making great quality products whilst striving to use the most natural ingredients possible.
Since our humble beginnings in 1894 it is safe to say we have come a long way from the horse and cart!
Starting off with a small family run bakery, it has now blossomed in to a business with over 90 employees, supplying pastry the length and breadth of the UK.
